"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life" P Picasso
Hello Everyone
It is nice to be back online kicking off my first blog post! I am in the process of sprucing up my website so please bear with me while I get back into the swing of things. I hope to publish blog posts every 2 weeks...I am also getting used to a new computer so it might be monthly.
I am now living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, more precisely in the city of Olympia which is the capitol of Washington state. This has been quite an interesting change for me experiencing my first "real" winter in 30 years. We had lots of snow and I mean "lots" of it.
Although I have been back "home" since last May after moving up from sunny San Diego, the cooler weather here was a welcome change but I must admit that I was not expecting so much snow this past winter.
I managed to set up a small studio in my residence and am continuing to enjoy my retirement years as a working artist! Currently I have a number of paintings on display at Gallery Boom here in Olympia. If you happen to be visiting Olympia you should make a point to stop by the gallery. I should have a few photos to share next time! Gallery Boom is located at 520 Adams Street SE Olympia WA 98501
Arts Walk in Olympia: This is a semi-annual community event that celebrates the arts. The Olympia Arts Walk is held in the fall and the spring in downtown The dates for 2019 are April 26-27 and October 4-5. I am participating with paintings on display at Gallery Boom and possibly one or two other locations. There are many talented creative people here in Olympia so I am sure it will be fun!
